Fuel efficiency or rolling resistance –
The energy lost when a tyre is rolling is known as rolling resistance. The lower the rolling resistance the more you reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
A = Most efficient and G = least efficient (D not used)
Wet grip –
This rating reflects the braking distance of a vehicle in wet conditions. The difference between ratings A and G can be up to 18 metres which is four car lengths.
A = Shortest braking distance and G = Longest braking distance (D not used)
External rolling Noise -
A tyre's exterior noise level is measured in decibels. Tyres are categorised in 3 classes illustrated by 3 waves.
1 wave = quieter tyre and 3 waves = Louder tyre
The writing situated on the side wall of the tyre identifies its size and specification. If you want a quotation on a tyre please locate these numbers and quote them to us when you call. We can also help you with complete brake, wheels and clutch checks, so get in touch
