Tyre labelling explained

Fuel efficiency or rolling resistance –
The energy lost when a tyre is rolling is known as rolling resistance. The lower the rolling resistance the more you reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
A = Most efficient and G = least efficient (D not used)

Wet grip –
This rating reflects the braking distance of a vehicle in wet conditions. The difference between ratings A and G can be up to 18 metres which is four car lengths.
A = Shortest braking distance and G = Longest braking distance (D not used)

External rolling Noise -
A tyre's exterior noise level is measured in decibels. Tyres are categorised in 3 classes illustrated by 3 waves.
1 wave = quieter tyre and 3 waves = Louder tyre

The writing situated on the side wall of the tyre identifies its size and specification. If you want a quotation on a tyre please locate these numbers and quote them to us when you call. We can also help you with complete brake, wheels and clutch checks, so get in touch with us today.
